Composed of two strands of gold links incorporating amongst them the date 12 1 1897, each number set either with diamonds, sapphires or rubies, one end with a miniature banner of St. Andrew set with diamonds and sapphires, marked on clasp

The above bracelet was commissioned by Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich at the Fabergé firm as a present to his wife, Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna (daughter of the Dowager Maria Feodorovna) for the birth of their son, Grand Duke Andrei Alexandrovich on January 12, 1897.
