Rectangular, with canted corners, the hinged cover with a lakeside scene of a pleasure barge within a garden set with obelisk and rotunda, the sides depicting a village, lakeside and farmer's field, the base with engine turned ground, each side with engraved dark blue stylized leaf border, marked on interior, the bezel with later control marks
