GREY ON SHARK FISHING: TROLLING FOR MAKOS "It is generally believed in the East that sharks do not attack people...This is a terrible blunder. I have the data for three hundred attacks made by sharks upon human beings and most of them were fatal..." Grey goes on to recount his experiences with Mako and Thresher sharks in particular. Grey goes on to relate many instances of shark fishing and the habits, patricularly when fished, of sharks in the Keys and New Zealand. He goes into detail on why he considers the Mako shark "a grand fish" (the ferocity of their strikes versus other large gamefish such as Marlin and Swordfish and their battles with the former to the extent that Makos are caught with the spears of Marlin broken off but healed over in their bodies).
