A GEORGE III SILVER TEA URN**
Marked Thomas Whipham & Charles Wright, London, 1766
On four shell and scroll feet with cherubic mask joins, the detachable base with spiral fluting and chased with flowers, the urn-form body with similar decoration centering a rocaille cartouche, the spout with ivory spigot, the loop handles formed as vines, the detachable cover with gadroon border rising to flame finial, marked on body and cover, the base apparently unmarked.
