This rug exhibits and number of most unusual technical features. It is woven on cotton warps. The first 10cm. are woven with single shoots of unplied dark brown goat's hair weft. Thereafter it changes to a heavily ribbed structure with two shoots of light blue cotton weft between each row of knots. The selvage is light blue cotton overwrapped with medium blue wool. This wool may be an addition.
