Godden, Minton Pottery and Porcelain of the First Period, 1793-1850, New York, 1968, fig. 119, for an illustration of a similar vase with gilding probably by Robins and for a diagram of the model from the Minton ornamental design folio number 165; also see fig. 25 for a Royal Dejèuner Service in Her Majesty's Collection with similar tooled gilding and bird painting by Joseph Wareham. Wareham is recorded in a statement by Rhead as a painter of birds as well as flowers in the Sèvres style. Works recorded as being painted by him were consistently the most expensive of the period.
