A PAIR OF ITALIAN RENAISSANCE STYLE CARVED MARBLE TORCHERES
Circa 1870
Each with circular bead and egg-and-dart-carved top with acanthus-carved underside, above a tapering baluster shaft carved with doves, classical masks, acanthus and gadrooning, on concave-sided stepped base carved with urns and scrolling foliage, on lion-paw feet and square paneled plinth, each with later alabaster globular shade with central foliate-carved band
The torchères: 77½in. (198.8cm.) high; 26in. (66cm.) square at base
