A pair of Florentine Renaissance style Dantesque carved walnut armchairs
Circa 1870
Each with pierced rectangular back surmounted by a coat-of-arms flanked by a pair of griffins and a helmeted knight's head finial to each side, above an arcaded section centred by a pair of intertwined dolphins, the arms with grotesque mask terminals, the distressed velvet padded seat on hairy paw-carved curule supports centred by a further grotesque mask and joined by pierced foliate stretchers (2)
