Alexander Calder (1898-1976)
Property from the collection of George Gordon From 1972-1976, Calder embarked on an ambitious project working with George Gordon, designing murals for full-size Braniff 727 and DC-8 jets, creating what the artist called "Flying Mobiles." The following two works are from an impressive series of gouache and watercolor works created for this project.
