Further details
The Thebes stool was based on ancient Egyptian prototypes and registered as a design by Liberty & Co in 1884. It was available in two styles, one a four-legged stool with leather seat attached to the frame with thonging, registration no. 16673 and this version, in oak and mahogany, sometimes stained or lacquered in red, with registration no. 16674. Both design were equally popular and produced until 1907.
