AN EARLY CORINTHIAN DECORATED POTTERY PYXIS AND LID

The sides of the twin-handled body painted with a frieze of orientalizing animals comprising a swan, pantheress, grazing stag, pantheress, ibex and roaring lion, rosettes in the field, with zigzag and chequered bands above, and chequered band and flaring petals below, the knobbed lid with a similar frieze around the top and chequered concentric band above and below, repaired with small areas of restoration
