BRONZE AGE, LATE 2ND-EARLY 1ST MILLENNIUM B.C.
The blade decorated with chased triple chevrons and 'tassle terminals' along the mid-rib and eight half spirals on either side, with chevron design between two bands on the 'dowelled' shaft

Formerly in the Lt. Gen. A.H.L.F. Pitt-Rivers collection. Paper label inscribed in ink: "Bronze spear, Hungary, Bt of Talbot Ready p1276".
