With trefoil lip and broad strap handle, the body decorated with black encircling lines, line of zigzag and a single line of red around the shoulder, the neck with branched linear motif at either side of the spout, 'comb' motif suspended from the interior rim within each lobe and at join of handle, 8 1/8 in. (20.7 cm.) high; a small juglet with six encircling black bands, rays around the shoulder and dots on rim edge, single handle, 4 in. (10.2 cm.) high; and an Apulian pottery two-handled jar, the body tapered to a small foot, with flaring neck and twin strap handles, decorated in black with broad band around the body flanked by parallel lines, four foliate motifs on the shoulder, the exterior rim with band of triangles, black glazed foot, 4th Century B.C., restoration to rim and handles, 4½ in. (11.5 cm.) high (3)
