AN APULIAN GNATHIA WARE SKYPHOS
4TH CENTURY B.C.
Decorated below the rim with a trail of ivy vine between the handles, the stem incised and the leaves and berries in added white, on high ring foot; and a similar trefoil-lipped oinochoe, the body with band of vine trail on the shoulder, bead and reel and ovolo above, herringbone motif around the lower body, details added in white, red and yellow, 4th Century B.C.
