Lot Essay

Although the presence of a coin-drawer and coin slots suggest that this was originally intended for coin operation, the slots are blanked off with metal plates and appear to have been so from an early date, if not at the factory. There is a manual override with squared end, as often found on Polyphons of this size. The coin-drawer is locked, with no key extant.
