Two Wilkinson Ltd. World War I character jugs
modelled by Carruthers Gould as Admiral Jellicoe and Marshall Joffre, each modelled seated, Jellicoe holding an inscribed foaming tankard, Joffre an inscribed shell, both in uniform, the square-shaped bases impressed with the initials FCG, printed marks and signatures, retailer's marks for Soane & Smith, 462 Oxford St., London, circa 1915 (Joffre with crazing to glaze and slight wear) -- 25cm. and 26.5cm. high
