Note:
The seven-character poem written by Qianlong praises the work of Shulin. It ends with a reminder from the Emperor that on taking up his position as Governor-General of the three provinces, Jiangsu, Anhui, and Jiangxi, Shulin is expected to "carry out good deeds and fulfil his (master's) wish in caring for his subjects"
