RODGER McPHAIL Lots 170-171 McPhail studied at Liverpool School of Art and now lives in Lancashire. He has travelled extensively and illustrated many wildlife books including B. Martin's Sporting Birds of the British Isles, 1922. He has held regular one-man exhibitions at galleries including the Tryon and Swann Gallery in London. McPhail is considered to be Britain's foremost sporting bird painter. He is noted for his brilliant evocations of the British countryside.
