The plaque is moulded on one side in the form of a double-gourd standing above an ornate simulated wood stand, tied at the narrow waist with drapery enamelled in turquoise, the upper body gilded with the character, da, within a medallion surrounded by five bats enamelled in blue against gilded brocade pattern on an iron-red ground, the lower body similarly gilded with the character, ji, all below an iron-red bat above the mouthrim
