Cast of rectangular cross-section, each facet decorated with a taotie divided by a vertical flange below a pair of confronted kui dragons, the mouthrim supporting a pair of arched handles on the shorter sides, the base with a meander of lotus scrolls, all raised on four bladed legs of archaistic dragon-form; the lid cast in openwork with pairs of archaistic dragons divided by shou characters, below a pierced and gilded finial (old restoration)
