A CELADON AND RUSSET JADE HORSE
17TH/18TH CENTURY

The recumbent horse is carved with its head turned towards its hind leg, the mane and tail lightly incised for detail, the underside well carved to show the legs and hooves, the stone of even pale celadon tone with russet inclusions on the neck and shoulders, with some fibrous inclusions (left foreleg repaired)
