A WHITE JADE CARVED OVAL PLAQUE
SIGNED ZIGANG, 18TH CENTURY

One side of the oval plaque is carved in medium relief with a sage seated on a rock under a tree observing a boy playing with a crane in flight, within a balustraded garden, the reverse with a lengthy inscription signed Zigang, the even white jade with an area of amber inclusions highlighting the carving, pierced for suspension

Provenance
The Du Breuil Collection, assembled in Beijing and Tianjin in the 1930's and 1940's.
