A LARGE WHITE JADE VASE AND COVER
QING DYNASTY

Of flattened baluster form with sharply angled shoulders, the waisted neck flanked by a pair of mask-handles suspending loose rings, well carved around the tapering body with two rabbits on rockwork issuing long stalks of peony and plum blossom, the other side of the vase with stems of magnolia and lingzhi linked with a long interlocking chain to the stepped cover, further surmounted by a finial carved as a lotus bud, the white stone with areas of opaque mottling and small areas of russet inclusions (rim of cover polished)
