Of sarcophagus form, the cover inlaid with stylised birds and scrolling foliage overall, with deep cavetto sides, the ogee front and canted base with conforming decoration, (ring handles at the ends lacking), the red velvet lined interior with various covered and uncovered compartments containing mother-of-pearl mounted cotton reels, and other implements -- 14in. (35.5cm.) wide
