Lot Essay
Trevor Boyer was born in Castleford in the West Riding of Yorkshire. He attended the Wakefield School of Art from the age of 14 and then worked as a commercial artist in Leeds for 9 years. In 1976 Boyer became a freelance artist and has specialized in birds ever since. He has contributed to a number of publications including The Reader's Digest Nature Lovers' Library 'Birds of Britain', 1981, and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and the Automobile Association's Complete Book of British Birds, 1988.
He has exhibited at the Leeds City Museum and the Society of Wildlife Artists, Mall Galleries, London.
