This model, also known as the Hermetique, was the precursor to the Oyster. The disadvantage was, of course, that one had to open the watch in order to wind it.

The nickel plated and spotted movement jewelled to the third with bimetallic balance, the engine-turned silvered dial with luminous Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds, luminous hands, the three part gold circular case with wire lugs, the movement contained in separate hinged inner case with snap on back, the outer case with screwed bezel, leather strap with Rolex gilt buckle, case, dial and movement signed
