Lot Essay

Collingwood Smith travelled widely in England and also, after 1852, on the Continent. He was elected Associate and full member of the Old Watercolour Society in 1843 and 1849. At his death his remaining watercolours were sold in these rooms 3rd and 5th March 1888.
