Maker's mark of Johannes van Somerwil I, Amsterdam, 1737-1764; also struck with Dutch without payment of duty mark, 1807-1810
The mill with large sails attached with a pin to an openworked frame with at both sides a bird finial, a piece of rope is wind up around the pin to draw water up from a well
