The nickel plated movement jewelled to the centre with gold alloy balance, stamped under the balance 69 with a stylised R within a shield, the matt silvered dial with raised pink baton numerals, outer tachymetric scale, subsidiary dials for running seconds and elapsed minutes, pink hands and sweep centre seconds operated by two flat pushers in the band, in circular case with downturned scalloped lugs, stepped flat bezel and snap on back, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

The model 3055 was first introduced in the late 1930s and continued in production for almost 20 years. During this period, everything about the watch changed; the case style, the movement and the dial; only the model number remained the same. This watch is one of the last made.
