The nickel plated movement jewelled to the centre with gold alloy balance, the black dial with raised pink baton numerals, outer tachymetric scale and subsidiary dials for running seconds and elapsed minutes, pink hands and sweep centre seconds operated by two flat buttons in the band, in circular case with downturned scalloped lugs, stepped flat bezel and snap on back, leather strap and gilt Rolex buckle, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

The model 3055 was first introduced in the late 1930s and continued in production for almost 20 years. During this period, everything about the watch changed; the case style, the movement and the dial; only the model number remained the same. This watch is one of the last ones made.
