Tortoise-shell box apparently unmarked, probably former Dutch East Indies, late 18th; silver box stamped THS 800 ECHT, Java, 20th Century
Of rectangular form on four ball feet, the corners of the box and cover fitted with scroll silver mounts, a lockplate (key missing), the hinged cover with shaped oval central plague and four star-shaped nails, two small handles; the larger rectangular box on four ball feet, all over chased with various flowers
