The Apollo 13 mission (11-17 April 1970) became famous because of the crew's understated radio message to Mission Control "Okay, Houston, we've had a problem here". The Speedmaster Professional helped rescue the mission from a potential disaster which earned Omega the "Snoopy Award", the highest distinction of honor awarded by the NASA astronauts.

For the mission's 25th anniversary, Universal Pictures produced "Apollo 13", the story of this dramatic journey through space, directed by Ron Howard and starring Tom Hanks as Commander James Lovell.
