Lot Essay

The Superocean, a diver's watch, was designed and made to the specifications of the US Navy's elite combat swimmer unit, the Seals. It holds up pressures of 100 atmospheres (1,000 meters or 3,300 ft) under water. To prevent it from exploding when rising to the surface, the watch is fitted with a decompression valve.
