The Cosmograph Daytona with reference 6263 was launched in the late 1970s and by the mid 1980s, the Daytona model became (and still is) one of the most sought after Rolex wristwatches among collectors.

With nickel-finished lever movement, 17 jewels, the black dial with applied luminous baton numerals, luminous hands, three subsidiary white dials indicating constant seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, the tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case with bezel calibrated for 200 units per hour, screw down crown and screw back, two round chronograph buttons in the band, together with a stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet and clasp, case, dial and movement signed
