With double barrel jewelled lever movement, 22K gold rotor, the engine-turned white dial with outer blank silvered chapter ring for the minutes, central blued steel moon-style minute hand, eccentric small hour dial with Roman numerals on blank silvered chapter ring, window for date, the circular water-resistant-type case with ribbed band, the screw back engraved with the names of Breguet's famous clients, together with an 18K pink gold Breguet buckle, Breguet Limited Edition Certificate, original fitted green leather presentation box containing a gold magnifying glass engraved 1747-1997, outer packaging, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

This model, reference 1747, was made in 1997 in a limited edition of 75 examples in pink gold to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Abraham-Louis Breguet.

With its twin-barrel movement and regulator dial it was designed to resemble the garde temps watches, highly accurate pocket chronometers and deck watches manufactured by Breguet already as of around 1791.
