The 6062 Oyster was described in the 1959 catalogue (the last one it appeared in) as "Cosmograph Oyster Perpetual, Calendar, Moonphase, Offically Certified Chronometer" It was a significant watch for Rolex as it introduced two new features; the Super Oyster crown which proved to be one of the company's rare failures and the Day in a window which proved to be a major success when transferred to the Day-Date in 1956. It was the success of the Day-Date that proved to be the nail in the coffin of the Cosmograph, and in the 1959 catalogue the Day-Date was priced at over 10 more than the more complex 6062.
