Patek Philippe produced only 281 examples of this model with reference number 1518 from 1941 to 1954.
The reference number 1518 was made in four series. This particular watch is from the first series which was made as of 1941 with applied gold Arabic numerals. The second series, with enamelled hour indexes and the 12 in applied gold Arabic numerals, was presented at the Basle Fair in 1942. The third series was made with applied gold indexes, the 12 again in applied gold Arabic numerals and the fourth series with applied gold baton indexes.
