Victor Fletcher was born in 1929 and joined the Royal Household as a Plate Pantry Assistant in 1952. He was promoted to Under Butler in 1957, to Senior Under Butler in 1968 and to Deputy Yeoman of the Plate Pantry in 1971. Fletcher received the R.V.M. in 1974 as Yeoman of the Plate Pantry and died in 1990 whilst still serving in that capacity.
