Sold with a note from the Central Chancery of the Orders of Knighthood, St. James's Palace, 'Received from the Central Chancery of the Orders of Knighthood 1 G.B.E. Mantle (Old Pattern) Cordons and Hat. (Property of The Rt. Hon. Lord Silsoe)'.

The Mantle and Hat are contained in a card box of Ede & Ravenscroft with an additional label stating from 'H.R.H. The Duchess of Gloucester' and the Central Chancery; additionally inscribed, 'Her Royal Highness Princess Alice, The Duchess of Gloucester, Kensington Palace'.
