A French ormolu-mounted mahogany clock
In the Empire Revival Style, Late 19th Early 20th Century
The rectangular upper section surmounted by an Imperial eagle with outspread wings, flanked to each side by an urn finial, above a frieze centred by crossed cornucopia and flanked by anthemia and foliate rosettes, the circular white enamel dial with Roman numerals and Arabic minute divisions, within an engine-turned surround, below a pair of pipe-blowing angels, above an arched recess containing the sunburst pendulum cast with a portrait of Bacchus, flanked to each side by a flaming torch, and a tapering female caryatid support, the lower section with back centred by a figure of winged Victory, the front supports each with a tapering female caryatid, on plinth base centred by musical trophies and laurel wreaths, on leaf-cast feet
