A walnut and feather strung chest-on-stand
Early 18th century
The upper part with a quarter-veneered crossbanded top, fitted with two short and three long drawers and with crossbanded sides, the stand fitted with a short drawer flanked by a deep drawer to either side, above an undulating arched apron, on associated oak cabriole legs with pad feet, the lower part does not have crossbanded sides and the drawer construction is distinctly different from the upper part, however, the two pieces would appear always to have been together
