The case with later tapering pediment to a stepped top hood, later spiral-twist columns and matching pilasters to the rear, rectangular trunk door with moulded frame and lenticle glass (later hinges, door probably later), on later plinth with stepped base, the 10in. square gilt-brass dial with winged cherub mask spandrels, signed Johannes longland Londini Fecit beneath a narrow silvered chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour markers, matted centre with subsidiary silvered seconds ring and date aperture (lacking calendar ring), with later hands, the five pillar movement with latched pillars and pinned dial feet, with outside countwheel strike on bell (now lacking), later anchor escapement, now lacking bolt and shutter maintaining power; dial and movement associated to case, the case with replaced veneers and restorations and replacements; with two brass weights and a pendulum
