Mid 18th century
With an English embroidered picture banner, circa 1740, worked in wool and silk, with an elegant shepherd and shepherdess with a cow and goats, some reworking and possibly cut, the reverse backed with a fragment of 18th century Chinese hand painted watercolour of an exotic bird
23 x 19in. (58.5 x 48.5cm.)
on a vase column and foliate carved splayed tripod supports terminating in pointed pad feet
