'Teddy', a Steiff teddy bear
with apricot/golden mohair, black boot button eyes, pronounced clipped muzzle, black stitched nose, mouth and claws, swivel head, jointed elongated limbs with felt pads and hump --15in. (38cm.) high, circa 1908 (right ankle split and stitched, bald patch to back of top of right leg, stuffing shifted, slight pin holes to pad, three nose stitching strands missing, growler inoperative and other minor wear) and an original photograph of the owner with her siblings (2)

Teddy was given to Nellie Elizabeth Scarsbrook, on her 7th brithday, 28th Novmber 1908. Sold with Teddy is an original photograph of the owner, her brothers and sisters, Nellie is standing.
