Gemini spacecraft rocket engine, model SE-6. Approx. 10 in. long and 3.5 in. wide at the left side mounting bracket with identification label: "Part Name - Thrust Chamber Assy [assembly], MFD [manufactured] by Rocketdyne for McDonnell, Part No. 208915-61, Mod [model] No. SE-6, Ser [serial number] 4071679, and McDonnell Part No. SCD52-2700-275". Other identification marks on the engine are: "Assembly Date 2Q [quarter] 65 [1965]," and numerous inspection stamps. A red Rocketdyne cover is used to protect the engine nozzle. Autographed by the crew of Gemini 5. The oxidizer valve assembly is intact but part of the fuel valve assembly was removed for failure analysis. Pitch, roll, and yaw spacecraft torques were obtained by firing these 25 pound thrust engines in pairs. SIGNED BY GORDON COOPER AND CHARLES CONRAD on the right side engine casing: "Gordon Cooper, GT-5 CDR" and "Charles Conrad, GT 5 & GT 11".
