Lunar Module Oxidizer Tank. A positive expulsion titanium fuel tank approx. 38 in. tall and 12 in. in diameter with Bell part number 8580-471010-1 REV. "A", serial number 12, and inspection stamps. The Lunar Module (LM) reaction control system had four sets of four rocket engines that used hypergolic propellants. This tank supplied the nitrogen tetroxide oxidizer to the reaction control system engines which in turn allowed the LM to move along its three axis while hovering above the lunar surface, landing, ascent, and docking maneuvers. A teflon bladder is mounted on the tank top and when pressurized with helium would supply the oxidizer to the engines. [With:] A 4-page descriptive text and diagrams of the tank and the reaction control system. (2)
