[MISSION CONTROL - APOLLO]. A detailed manuscript cloth notebook, approx. 8 x 10 in., containing over 100 pages of notes from flight controller meetings held between 15 December 1966 to 8 October 1968. Schedule changes due to the Apollo fire and mission objectives for later flights were entries during 1967. Details on mission trade-offs, abort modes, and CSM/LM procedure developments were logged. Extensive notes on the first flight of the LM, Apollo 5. Apollo 7 and 8 are included with requirements needed to change Apollo 8 from an earth orbit to a lunar mission in order to beat the Russians to the Moon. Plans for Apollos 10 and 11 (missions F and G) with alternate missions if a lunar landing is not possible if either become the first lunar landing mission. Many of these meeting were attended by lead flight directors such as Charlesworth, Holloway, Lunney and key NASA managers including Chris Kraft.
