[CONTRACT]. Contracts, letters, and other correspondence assembled in an approx. 9 x 12 in. notebook with a prong binding. The notebook contains over ten original letters dated between 1963 and 1967 to Walt Cunningham, relating to the contract for the astronauts "personal experiences and those of their families with respect to all space flights and related activities made by them or any of them in connection with NASA Space Flight Projects...." The third group of astronauts entered into an agreement with agent Harry Batten to allow their experiences to be published by Time/Life and Field Enterprises. Other material includes copies of the contract for the second group of astronauts to be used for reference, Cunningham biographical material, and correspondence to Alan Shepard and Deke Slayton of the astronaut office.
