A fine and detailed early 19th Century French prisoner-of-war bone model of a 104-gun First Rate
with bound masts, yards with stun's'l booms, mainly original rigging with scale blocks and deadeyes, carved female figurehead, hair rails, anchors, catheads, carved balustrading, bitts, belaying rails, gratings, well deck with two ship's boats with thwarts suspended above, water barrels, gratings, capstan, poop deck deck rails, upper deck guns and many other details. The hull, planked and pinned in uniform coloured bone, is fitted with carved and decorative stern and quarter galleries and mounted on a diamond-shaped planked bone base with carved balustrading and corner posts -- 13 x 14½in.
