A late 19th Century gaff-rigged pond model of the working boat Helena
with masts, rigging, full suit of linen sails with luffs and leeches, brass deck fittings, open hatch and friction tiller. The carved hull with planking, rudder, lead weighted keel and planked oak decks, is finished in white and varnish and mounted on a stand (later) -- 72 x 60in. (183 x 152.5cm.)
